About

I'm the head of search at Microsoft and lead the engineering, product and growth teams responsible for Bing worldwide including experiences, maps and platform. My team also launched the original Copilot at Microsoft. My mission is to bring innovation and competition to search & AI for the advancement of society, while embracing the principles of collaborative leadership. In early 2023, my team released Bing Chat with GPT4 and DALLE. It was later rebranded Copilot and became foundational for the new Gen AI era of Copilots at Microsoft. We launched Copilot and Copilot Pro in Copilot.microsoft.com in late 2023 and partnered with multiple teams to release Copilot in Edge, Windows, and mobile apps. In March 2024, we re-focused on Bing as multiple Copilot teams emerged within the company but still contributed components to them, such as advanced search grounding (web RAG) and Responsible AI technology. In April 2025, my team released Copilot Search which blended the best of traditional and generative search. Our team's innovations are being leveraged across the company including products and services in Azure, Office and Windows. Hundreds of millions of people use our team's Bing search technology, products and services including many partners like Amazon, DuckDuckGo, Meta, Open AI and Yahoo. Our search tech now powers over a third of PC web searches in the US (comScore) and generates over $10 billion annually in search revenue worldwide. Throughout my career, I have managed global, multi-discipline teams. I have lived in the US, Europe and Asia leading orgs of up to five thousand people which have included product, engineering, growth, marketing, and business development. I have also published more than 50 technical and research publications, hold over 20 patents, received the Young Investigator Award at IEEE VCIP, and was awarded the Premio Influyente 2024 of El Confidencial for Innovation in Spain and the Premi Ambaixador 2025 of Regio7 for career trajectory in central Catalonia. I'm originally from Manresa, Spain. Outside of work, I enjoy paddleboarding, sailing, skiing, and watching sports and theatre with my family.
