About

I help enterprises adopt AI without losing control of their security, their data, or their critical infrastructure. For 20+ years I've designed, built, and secured global enterprise networks and data centers — most recently as Director, Network & Security at a global professional-services firm, where I built the security program from the ground up, achieved ISO 27001 certification, and led the Zero Trust / SASE architecture across a footprint scaled to ~9,000 users. Along the way I championed three data-center builds from raw space and ran the multi-vendor evaluations (Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco) behind major security and network decisions. Today my focus is the intersection that matters most right now: securing AI, and securing the infrastructure AI runs on. On governance, I'm an IAPP-certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP) and the creator of original frameworks for AI security — the GZAI Integration Model (Govern, Identify, Verify, Enforce, Monitor) which I map to NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001, MITRE ATLAS, the OWASP LLM Top 10, and CSA MAESTRO. On infrastructure, I'm NVIDIA-certified in AI Infrastructure & Operations, with self-directed architecture work in GPU-cluster fabric design (InfiniBand, RoCEv2, NVIDIA Spectrum-X, NVLink) and hands-on machine-learning engineering in Python and TensorFlow. I'm deepening that formally through UT Austin McCombs' PGP in AI & Machine Learning (in progress). I also care about building the next generation of security talent — I serve on the Per Scholas Dallas Advisory Board, mentor emerging practitioners, and stay active in the DFW cybersecurity community through panels and roundtables. Areas of focus: AI Security · AI Governance · Agentic AI Security · Secure AI Infrastructure · Zero Trust Architecture · Network Architecture · GPU/AI Data Center Fabric · Cloud Security · SASE · NIST AI RMF · ISO 42001 Thorough knowledge of network security, network architecture, vulnerability management, firewall, VOIP, Cloud, Virtualization, Wireless, Load Balancing, VPN, routing, switching, monitoring, and optimization technologies. Lead or played key roles in projects such as… - Multiple Data Center relocations - Global Unified Communication System - Enterprise-wide layered security platforms - Enterprise-wide Wireless Enterprise Deployment - Multiple Enterprise-wide MPLS WAN deployments - Core WAN and LAN upgrades

  • I lead network and security architecture for a global professional-services firm, and I'm increasingly focused on how the enterprise governs and securely adopts AI.
  • Built and matured the enterprise security program — risk management, threat detection, and incident response — and achieved ISO 27001 certification aligned to international standards.
  • Lead the Zero Trust / SASE architecture (SD-WAN, CASB, ZTNA, SWG) and the multi-vendor security/network evaluations (e.g., Zscaler, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco) behind key architecture decisions.
  • Evaluate emerging AI-security and AI-infrastructure technologies and AI vendors, applying AI-governance frameworks (NIST AI RMF, ISO 42001) to enterprise adoption and risk decisions.
  • Migrated WAN, DIA, and VoIP services off legacy technology, saving $1.75M over three years.
  • Own the design, deployment, and lifecycle of global network infrastructure across the firm's sites and data centers.
