Dimdim

Co-founder and Director of Business Development

Mar 2006Jan 2011 · 4 yrs 10 mos

  • (Mar 2006 - Jan 2011 Dimdim.com was acquired by Salesforce.com):
  • March 2009 – Jan 2011: My team built the Ecommerce platform for Dimdim. In addition to processing transactions, this platform nudged users towards a paid account in numerous ways and this Ecommerce platform grew to a multi-million dollar channel. These nudges are created through the findings of my Analytics team which combined and analyzed data from website walkthroughs, product usage and user transactions. The analytics team oriented the company to be Data driven and its work included:
  • Construct usage signatures for designing directed campaigns.
  • Construct usage signatures to identify users who are more likely to churn.
  • Design and conduct Cohort analysis to measure usage engagement over time and design action items to increase revenue.
  • Calculate and analyze financial ratios like CMRR, CAC Ratio, CLTV
  • Design, Conduct and implement the findings of A/B Tests
  • Design, measure and iterate through Landing Pages optimizations and Conversion Funnels.
  • March 2008 – March 2009: Bootstrapped the Inside Sales team to signup the first 50 customers. Ramp-up of this team happened when each team member brought in yearly revenue that is 3X sales cost (Sales Compensation and other sales specific costs).
  • This was extended to all trial users through the Customer Experience (CE) team whose responsibility was to deliver Customer Delight. This was the best performing conversion channel for Dimdim. Users who underwent a training session by the CE team converted to paid users more, did more meetings, longer meetings, larger meetings and used more features.
  • Feb 2006 – Feb 2008: In the first 2 years in Dimdim I was responsible for Product Management where I used conversations, usability tests and web-based forums to understand how users customize and innovate on existing web conferencing software to build a better solution for themselves. This body of knowledge was then funneled into the product design process to build Dimdim.
