I hold a Master's degree in Mass Communication and Journalism, post which I got a job in PR because folks at college told me PR bags you good money but I couldn't stick around for a year even. I had been trying to get into HR, any role really but the most I got was an internship in a 4 year old start-up and I took a leap. So basically I moved from a full-time job to an internship because that's how interested I was in getting into a people operations job. Have been here for about 4 odd years now and never looked back.
