Nathan Holland — CTO
I grew up dreaming of playing in the NBA. The reality of my basketball career was a long way from that, fizzling out after a couple of seasons. Instead, I built a career in software development. For over a decade I’ve worked across engineering, product development, and leadership roles, building products, leading teams, and helping scale companies. Along the way I also explored entrepreneurship through projects focused on improving how software teams work and collaborate. Now, things have come full circle. I’m now the CTO and cofounder of Kima, where we’re building an AI basketball coach using computer vision and machine learning to provide real-time feedback to players as they train. The goal is to make high-quality individual coaching available to far more players than would ever have been able access to it before. I still care deeply about building strong engineering cultures and good products, but these days I get to apply that experience to something that mattered to me long before I started coding.
