I have been fond of the art of film making and so have blended my artistic skills with my 25 years of Art Direction and Production Design. I have been exploring and applying my art skills, logics and observations in creating sets for Bollywood films. Designing a film set is like painting the visual of a film director’s mind and a screen writer’s script, bringing out their dreams onto the reality of a set. I try and bring alive the characters in the script via constructing a habitat for them, the place where they live, breathe and mutate their energy. Filmmaking is telling the story with the visuals, these stories have moods, feels, vibes and all these are visualised and presented by an Art Director. I, therefore, get into the depth of the story to bring out the perfect vibe of the script in his sets by concocting exemplary colour palettes and fabricating details relatable to the real world.
