• Payment Routing Engine: Spearheaded the development and product of a payment routing engine for merchants to route payments to the PSP charging the lowest MDR and higher authorization rates.
• Fraud Rules Engine: Building and leading the development of Pakistan's 1st merchant-facing fraud rules engine called XShield, with a block list to flag fraudulent transactions against multiple rules such as IP, velocity, card fingerprint, no. of attempts, etc.
• Subscriptions and Billing Engine: Built Stripe Stripe-compliant subscription module with support for all B2B and B2C billing use cases.
• Gateway Agnostic Tokenization: Developed PCI DSS compliant gateway agnostic tokenization service by using AWS Payment Cryptography and got mentioned on the AWS website.
• Lead PCI DSS compliance activities: Leading and ensuring PCI DSS compliance and ISO 27001 implementation in XPay across the software development lifecycle.
• BIN Discount Feature: Led product and development of offering BIN-based discounts. Discounts can be offered as a flat rate, percentage-based with an upper cap limit.
• Payment Links: Merchants can collect payments using one-time and multiple-time usage payment links. A shortened link is generated against a payment link and merchants can send that to customers.
• Building resilient architecture to ensure zero production outages and any disruption in payments.

• 1. XPay: Led Xpay, a payment orchestration platform, and transformed from a redirection-based payment service to Pakistan's first API and developer-first product offering a native and seamless experience.
• 2. XPay Element: Built a Web SDK, compliant with Stripe, for merchants to collect payment securely. The payment fields can be styled according to the website's UI to give a native feel.
• 3. Unified Payment API: Designed and built resilient unified payment APIs where merchants can simply integrate one API and collect payment from any PSP of their choice.
• 4. Support for multiple gateways and PSPs: Merchants can configure multiple PSPs and gateways and can attempt payment from a PSP of their choice based upon factors such as product category, authorization rate, BIN-based discounts, etc.
• 5. Lead development of XAP - Xstak Admin Panel: XStak is a combination of five different products. Earlier each module had separate frontends and AuthN and AuthZ. Brought all individual admin panels under a single one branded as XAP and implemented SSO and unified customer experience.
• 6. Revamped Frontend of enterprise-level admin panels: The frontend modules of XStak products such as OMS, Cloud-based OMS, and headless e-commerce solutions were built using Angular without any uniformity. I led a team of front-end developers and implemented a similar UI experience.
• 7. Implemented Single-Sign-On: As every product has a different login and AuthN and AuthZ logic, I developed and led the activity of bringing them under an SSO. I used Keycloak as an IAM service and integrated the authentication service with all products.
• 8. User Management & IAM Module: Built a module for user management and providing Role-based access to users for using services based upon their roles.
• 9. DevOps: I owned products from all engineering and technical perspectives from development to deployments.
• I reduced deployment time from 45 minutes to up to 5 minutes for each product and reduced build times.
