Anant Gupta — Founder
I think about leverage, technology, and building things that compound. I started my first company at 19. It was an Instagram email scraper I built while learning to code. It did pretty fairly well, $15K MRR in 1 year, made Instagram change their algo LOL, and finally got a cease and desist letter from Instagram to shut it down. Since then I've launched a lot of products. Most of them failed. Few survived and turned into real businesses. All bootstrapped, $1M+ ARR, no funding. I've written the code, run the ads, handled support tickets at 2am, hired people, fired people. I didn't plan to do all of it. I just couldn't afford not to. Some things I've come to believe: - Bootstrapping forces you to think clearly because there's nothing to hide behind. - The best businesses capture demand that already exists. - Learning fast matters more than moving fast. - One product people stay on beats ten products people try once.
