About

I’m an entrepreneur, investor, and events host - my mission in life is to create more spaces for curious and ambitious people to meet. After living in China for two decades, I moved to America for Facebook. Shortly after, I worked at Google building products, and not too long after that, I left to build Fibe, and now The Shortlist. I've invested in over 20 startups, including companies like Superpower, Othership, Carry, and Hill.com. I never imagined this could be a real job. Over 50,000 CEOs, investors, and tech professionals across eight cities have attended my events, and we’ve been sponsored by institutions like Fidelity, J.P. Morgan, Perplexity, American Express, Notion, Rippling, Hubspot, and 100+ other organizations. Business Insider dubbed me the "Gatsby of Silicon Alley" (I've never read the book), and I've been lucky to be featured on Newsweek, Inc., Business Insider, Bloomberg, Fast Company, Fortune Magazine, Morning Brew, Reuters, Axios, Ad Age, Forbes, and This Week in Startups. I'm also a partner at Next Wave NYC, a venture capital firm. I invest in software companies that improve the way we live, work, and connect with other humans. Beyond, I write a personal blog (www.andrew.today), and for Business Insider too. I've have spoken about tech careers, community, and entrepreneurship at Princeton University, Columbia Business School, SXSW, AdWeek, and Jason Calacanis' "This Week in Startups" podcast. If you're ambitious, I'd love to meet you. – Read my newsletter: www.andrew.today – Attend my events: www.meetfibe.com – Book me: intro.co/andrewyeung – Learn about me: www.andrewyeung.co
