About

👋 Hey there! Since you found your way here, you might be curious about who I do. Here's a quick snapshot: I'm a technical architect, technopreneur, trainer, and author. I tend to get involved when things are messy and I've spent most of my career working on things that don't fit neatly into job titles. I build systems, test ideas under real constraints, and discard assumptions that fail under load. My work spans DevOps, Cloud Native architecture, Python, and applied AI, with a focus on turning complex infrastructure and engineering concepts into practical, usable knowledge that engineers can apply to their work. I have trained thousands of engineers and teams at companies like Microsoft and Intel and have authored books and courses on multiple technical topics. Some of my work has been translated into several languages, including Korean, Chinese, and Russian. My teaching style is direct and applied, grounded in real-world implementation rather than theory. I founded FAUN.dev to share practical knowledge, help engineers and teams build better systems, and enable others to share their expertise and experience. As an advisor to tech startups, I work with founders at the intersection of engineering depth, business leverage, and long-term scalability. I have received several recognitions for my work, including being named one of the top 100 DevOps influencers worldwide by TechBeacon. When I'm not coding, writing, or teaching, I enjoy walking in nature, quiet moments with a good book, exploring new ideas in philosophy and science and building things just to see where they fail. I'm an "anti-fragile empiricist philosopher," you could say ;) Want to connect? Join my weekly newsletter at https://faun.dev/join or reach out by email at aymen@faun.dev. Right now, I'm open to business partnerships, speaking engagements, and advising/consulting opportunities.

Eralabs

Founder

Jan 2017Present · 9 yrs 4 mos · Paris Area, France

  • I'm the founder of eralabs, an independent cloud native and DevOps consultancy where I work directly with startups and engineering teams on architecture, infrastructure, and scalability.
  • My work focuses on designing and hardening Cloud Native systems: Kubernetes platforms, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, observability stacks, and production-grade cloud architectures. I help teams move from ad hoc deployments and legacy workflows to automated, reproducible, and resilient systems.
  • I work hands-on across the stack, from containerization and cluster design to workload scaling, cost optimization, and reliability engineering. My approach combines deep technical implementation with architectural clarity and an understanding of how technical decisions affect business velocity.
  • Every engagement is tailored. Some teams need platform re-architecture. Others need production readiness reviews, performance optimization, or DevOps enablement. I design solutions around real constraints: team size, growth stage, compliance needs, and budget.
  • In parallel, I deliver advanced training focused on practical implementation. The goal is not certification theater, but operational competence. Teams leave with systems they understand, not just slides they've seen.
  • eralabs exists to help technical organizations build infrastructure that scales, survives failure, and supports long-term growth.
