About

Hailey Windham is a nationally recognized fraud fighter and community builder with deep roots in banking, credit unions, and financial crime prevention. A Certified Financial Crimes Specialist (CFCS), Hailey currently serves as Community Lead for Banking at Sardine, where she focuses on building authentic industry community, elevating practitioner voices, and driving meaningful conversations across fraud and financial crime in banking. Hailey is also the host of the Banking on Fraudology podcast (evolving into Fraud Forward), where she brings together fraud fighters, bankers, regulators, and industry leaders for honest, practitioner-led discussions about what is working, what is broken, and what needs to change. Her work is grounded in real-world experience and a strong belief that community, transparency, and collaboration are essential to solving modern fraud challenges. Prior to joining Sardine, Hailey led national fraud strategy and detection efforts for a managed services operation supporting financial institutions across the U.S. That work deepened her expertise in fraud operations, real-time intervention protocols, scam response, and scalable program design for institutions of all sizes. She is the founder of CU Fight Fraud, LLC, an initiative created to advocate for credit unions and community banks by advancing fraud awareness, education, and collaboration across the industry. Known for connecting the dots and translating complexity into action, Hailey’s work has produced measurable impact, from educating the public on evolving scam typologies to equipping frontline teams and leaders with practical, people-first solutions that actually work. Her approach bridges banking, technology, and law enforcement, fostering trusted partnerships focused on protecting customers and communities.
