  • Technical Development Program Rotation 3/3 : Worked as a Data Engineer for AT&T's Chief Data Office on Fraud and Security Usecases.
  • Worked with existing batch process fraud prediction micro-service to add new features
  • Built realtime streaming application using Apache Kafka and Apache Flink to create windowed aggregations that were used as features of a Machine Learning model to predict fraud. This sped up the model scoring time from 2 days to 30 milliseconds which allowed the model to be run before the customer's transaction is completed.

Advanced circuits

R&D Intern

Jun 2015Jul 2015 · 1 mo · Aurora, CO

  • During my 9 week internship at Advanced Circuits I learned the fundamental processes for making printed circuit boards (PCBs). I worked with Cshell, Python and Qbasic to add new functionality to the existing Computer Automated Manufacturing (CAM) panelization code. Most of my time was spent helping to change the placement of IPC-6012 specification coupons from static placement to dynamic placement as well as allowing for multiple 6012 specification boards to be printed on the same manufacturing panel. For each iteration of changes to the panelization code (v1.09 - v1.21) I was required to extensively test the placement code for bugs. This improved the usable space per panel and allowed for higher profitability per panel. I also worked on a 2D placement algorithm for minimizing wasted space on panels.
