About

Ihitashri Shandilya is a UN award-winning Cultural Entrepreneur, Sustainability Champion, and Advisor, bringing 20+ years of combined experience across corporate leadership and creative social entrepreneurship to advance women’s economic empowerment and cultural heritage preservation. An alumna of India’s prestigious National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, Ihitashri spent nearly a decade in the corporate sector specialising in Supply Chain Management and ERP systems before founding MITHILAsmita in India. For over a decade, she has led creative and social enterprise initiatives that champion Madhubani art and GI-tagged Indian crafts, expanding into embroideries, paintings, and handwoven silk and cotton textiles—creating sustainable livelihoods for rural women artisans. In 2025, she launched MITHILAsmita UK as ArtNHer London under the India–UK Free Trade Agreement framework, enabling women-led Indian craftsmanship to access global markets. Operating from London, ArtNHer collaborates with museums, cultural institutions, corporates, sustainable fashion houses, and retailers across Europe and beyond. She has worked closely with museums and corporate partners to design and deliver ethically sourced, handmade museum souvenirs, premium corporate gifts, and curated event merchandise, ensuring authenticity, traceability, and cultural integrity at scale. Alongside her entrepreneurial leadership, Ihitashri actively provides advisory and consulting support to nonprofit leaders, social enterprises, foundations, and impact-driven organisations, with a focus on social business strategy, ethical supply chains, partnerships, branding, and women-centred economic empowerment models. Backed by UK Government support and deep production relationships across 40+ artisan villages in India, ArtNHer London supplies ethical, handmade goods in bulk and wholesale to European and American retailers seeking credible, traceable, and impact-led sustainable collections. Recognised through multiple global awards and fellowships, Ihitashri works across nonprofit leadership, museums, corporates, and retail ecosystems to build scalable, ethical, and culturally rooted supply chains. 🤝 Open to conversations via DM around museum collaborations, ethical sourcing, corporate gifting, wholesale partnerships, and advisory engagements across 🇬🇧 UK, 🇪🇺 Europe, 🇺🇸 USA, 🇮🇳 India, and globally 🌍.
