Hi, I’m Joel Tom Skaria, a professional with a passion for serving others. I believe that “ordinary turns extraordinary when one is willing to serve others.” This has been the guiding principle of my journey so far, a journey of learning, growth, & impact. In the span of 5 yrs of experience I have given exposure in the aspects of project management, including people management, deliverable management, and primary & secondary research. I have also gained exposure to email marketing & lead generation activities, which sparked my interest in the marketing domain. I began my career in 2016 as a research associate at CIMIGO, right after earning my bachelor’s degree. During my association with the organisation I gained exposure to both primary & secondary, developed skills in data analysis, report writing, & insight generation. In 2018, I decided to pursue higher education as I wanted to deepen my knowledge. However, the global pandemic disrupted my plans & delayed my graduation by a year. Despite this challenge, I did not lose hope or motivation. I used the opportunity to completed several online courses. Further discovered my passion for marketing & realized that I wanted to pursue a career in this field. In 2021, I graduated with my master’s degree & ready for the next chapter my career. Last year, I joined Kantar, as a full-time researcher. There, I have been involved in the entire research process. My journey has taken me through diverse domains, including Automotive, Aviation, Fin-tech, Consumer Healthcare, Consumer Durables, BPC, Tourism, and Hospitality. Service to others has always been a cornerstone of my journey. I have been actively involved in various volunteer and extracurricular activities, such as Enactus, Student placement committee, College Fest Committee, Member of Student Council, and Anti-Tobacco Club. I have been recognized and rewarded for my performance & achievements. I have received awards such as Student of the Year (MBA), Trailblazer (BBA), and Performer of the Month (August 2021) at TB. These experiences have helped me develop my soft skills which a greatly value, such as adaptability, integrity, effective communication, open-mindedness, teamwork, empathy, problem solving, critical thinking and willingness to learn. I am always eager to learn new things & take on new challenges. I have a strong desire to work in the marketing domain and continuously develop my knowledge in the areas of branding, communication, digital marketing, social media marketing, SEO, product marketing, account-based marketing, product management.
