About

I founded and am running Pashov Audit Group, a web3 security company. We have secured >$100B of value for our clients, have completed >350 security audits and work with a team of 50+ talented security researchers, who have found and helped patch thousands of vulnerabilities. Previously Pashov Audit Group was just myself doing everything, with a focus on the smart contract security reviews (audits). I personally reviewed >40, protecting tens of billions of dollars of value on-chain. Before blockchain security I built DeFi blockchain products. My experience was writing smart contracts in Solidity and deploying them on different EVM-compatible chains (Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon) as well as using ethers.js to integrate with big DeFi protocols (Maker, Curve, Aave, Compound etc). Prior to blockchain I built web software products end-to-end - from the database, through the back-end, all the way to the front-end, while solving all kinds of infrastructure related problems, testing, deploying and monitoring. My main tools were Java, Node.js and React.

  • Leading more than 50 elite security researchers, serving the web3 space with our best security efforts. We are trusted by the biggest players in the space, some of which are Lido, Uniswap, Aave, Ethena, LayerZero, PancakeSwap, 1inch, Sushi, pumpfun.
  • During the first year of the business I worked by myself, doing marketing, lead generation, sales, offer crafting, service execution, client retention, business strategy. Worked with 40+ satisfied protocol clients, reporting over 300 security vulnerabilities to them.

  • Technologies:
  • Solidity, Cairo, Node.js, Starknet, Hardhat, ethers.js, Waffle, OpenZeppelin (Solidity & Cairo contracts)
  • Built a staking smart contract solution for $TEMP token holders. After that I pivoted to helping my team build the Nostra money market on Starknet, using Cairo.

  • Technologies & Areas: Java 11, Spring Boot, React, Redux, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, AWS, Jenkins, WebSockets, Fireblocks, crypto exchanges (Binance, Huobi, Kraken, Bitfinex etc) integration
  • My team and I built the Nexo Exchange and Nexo Prime software products from scratch and I took part in most major features development. I owned my DevOps and testing, mentored junior colleagues and led initiatives. Was in charge of a team of three people, one of them working remotely, for a quarter and accomplished best team performance for that particular quarter.
  • Notable features built/contributed to:
  • Liquidations engine for loans
  • TWAP execution
  • Smart Order Routing
  • Assets rebalancer for our blockchain wallets infrastructure
  • Boosters (retail margin trading)
  • Triangulated pairs execution
  • Market making
  • Integration with various exhanges (Bitfinex, Binance etc)

  • Team: vRealize Automation SaaS - a cloud-agnostic tool for declarative-based cloud resources provisioning
  • Technologies & Areas: Java 8 & 11, Xenon, Spring, AWS, PostgreSQL, Liquibase, Bash, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, JUnit, Mockito, Groovy, Git, Gerrit, REST API, CI/CD, testing (unit, integration, E2E), low level system design
  • The software has a complex asynchronous architecture, designed following best cloud native practices - containers, microservices, automation-first approach, CI/CD, distributed tracing, timeout & retry mechanisms. I worked on the core services that integrate with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Their CI/CD pipelines were very big, loaded with lots of unit, integration and API & UI E2E tests. The pipelines were owned by everyone in the team and I put a lot of time into supporting them aside from my feature development duties.
  • Some things I am proud of are that I used entirely new for me technologies, tools and frameworks successfully (was up to the speed of a regular team member) in just a week. I always delivered features tested and on time, with ownership up to Production environment. I improved the way service mocking was done in testing which resulted in a major performance and simplicity boost. Managed to be the top bug resolver for 3 consecutive months in a very competitive team, optimized pipelines & cloud resources usage and also did a few knowledge sharing tech talks.

  • I taught the practical courses of Programming Fundamentals, Object-oriented Programming and Data Structures & Algorithms to the younger students. I prepared classes, exercises, homework & exam tasks. The technology was C++, so there were a few interesting concepts like pointers and memory management.
