My present position is a hybrid of both field and design work. This includes, but is not limited to, site inspections (road restorations and installation of water services, pre-construction surveys, water mains, and storm/sanitary sewers, maintenance holes), daily site reports, calculating restraint lengths and flow regimes in gravity pipes, determining pipe classifications, reviewing CCTV surveys of sewers, undertaking QA/QC of drawings, including the identification of wet and dry utility conflicts, proposal writing, document control, and assisting with internal project coordination.
To complement my linear/conveyance experience, I have started taking on more vertical & water treatment related projects, particularly with an emphasis in O&M manual development, providing training to plant operators, asset conditions assessment, and commissioning of plant equipment, as well as providing services as a “resident engineer” at a waste water treatment facility.
