• Along with all external facing cluster compute products (Google Compute Engine, Google AppEngine, Google Container Engine) I am also responsible for Google's cluster management infrastructure. That includes Borg, Omega, Machine Management, Tool's for operational management and Resource Model for Google infrastructure. The infrastructure scales & operates to millions of cores across Google's Data Centers world wide.
• Prior to Google Cloud, I was in charge of the backend infrastructure for Google Apps, Google Drive, Google Docs/Spreadsheets, Google plus Ones, our structured indexing pipeline that serves as the foundation of more than 100+ products including gmail/youtube, etc. All said and done, these services are used by more than 80% of all Google users. Whats amazing about Google is that for a company of its size, Google has surprisingly small set of core offerings that thread the whole stack. I have been fortunate enough to head a healthy sub-set of that small distinguished core.
