• As the first DevRel Lead in Brasil, my focus is on growing and nurturing GitHub's space within the Brazilian community. How, you ask?

• I worked as a Professional Nanny, Newborn Care specialist and Pediatric Sleep Consultant for almost one decade.
• While it is a very particular career and it can be tricky to transfer it's skills, being a nanny definitely gave me some tools that can be applied in a range of different fields:
• Patience: Working with new parents and babies requires a lot of patience in daily basis, and you honestly just get better at it.
• Problem solving and fast: As a nanny things happen and you have to deal with them ASAP. Most of the time you are alone with a baby, so you have no one to help. I am really fast on my feet.
• Time Management: As a nanny I became a great time manager to consistently finish all of my responsibilities in a timely way without taking away from my primary task of providing great care.
• Being a team player: Nannies are the ultimate team players! Helping somebody to raise a child is no small task and you have to be in constant coming making sure everyone is on the same page about everything baby-related.
