Personal goal pursuit

Jan 2021Dec 2021 · 11 mos · Kerala

  • After working with Microsoft, I felt the desire to pursue something entrepreneurial, and was exploring multiple ideas and options in the edtech space. While none of these came to a definitive product, I was deeply engaged in market research and talking with students and teachers across Kerala,
  • During this time, I worked as a pro-bono product consultant with two high social impact startups, PiltoverTech and Knowsnack. I presently continue to advise Knowsnack.
  • PiltoverTech is a seed-funded start-up that develops affordable 3-D printed prosthetic hands. I worked with the founder around messaging and helped them prepare for an upcoming raise.
  • Knowsnack was an initiative to freely distribute digital learning flashcards to teachers and students to make tough concepts in Science easy and approachable. I had a hands-on role with designing some of these flashcards, as well as engaging in overall strategy around distribution and potential scalability of the model

Neuroplus

Chief Analysis Officer (Product Owner)

Feb 2014May 2016 · 2 yrs 3 mos · Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area

  • Hired as the first employee after the CEO and CTO to spearhead brain-computer-interface (BCI) product development (software and hardware) across neuromarketing and neurofeedback.
  • Neuromarketing
  • Performed comparative A/B testing of advertisements by measuring visual attention and emotional engagement as proxies for intent-to-buy. To better communicate the study results, over 1 million data points were analyzed to devise a new, intuitive measurement scale. A cloud-based application was then developed to integrate the study analysis, report generation and data presentation to improve the customer experience by reducing study turnaround time by 90%.
  • Neurofeedback
  • Created a new attention-training video game application for children suffering from learning disabilities such as ADHD. Contributed to a clinical trial featuring 60+ children, and helped to secure over 100 subscribers to the application. Improved the training experience by implementing new individual-adaptation algorithms for real-time tuning and optimization of various training parameters. Further enhanced user experience via an automatic result interpreter to explain training trends and suggest strategies for further improvement.
  • NeuroPlus API (Software/Hardware)
  • Led development of a custom electronics circuit board for use in a prototype neurofeedback hardware device. Overhauled the existing codebase to improve scalability, reusability and adoption time of the NeuroPlus neurofeedback platform.
