• Karkinos aims to improve cancer patient outcomes by establishing a Distributed Cancer Care Network - integrated with help of cutting-edge technology.
• I have created the blueprint for Karkinos Technology Platform that can support Distributed Cancer Network, separates Oncology Care Knowledge from Oncology Care Delivery - with data at its core.
• Have established openEHR standards based clinical information models for 6 common forms of Cancer. Established architectural and design principles to ensure healthcare data that's collected and generated is structurally and semantically interoperable. Leveraged openEHR for health data at rest and FHIR for data in motion. Conceptualized the process of applying NLP on unstructured clinical notes to convert into structured data and generate useful insights (retrospective analysis). Trained on an India-specific corpus of around 845K Clinical records of about 40K patients, In addition, I also led the implementation of other relatively smaller AI/ML based interventions for duplicate patient record detection from patient demographic data, risk prediction from risk assessment questionnaires, Cancer Classification, Coverage and Nuclei segmentation from whole slide images to aid the pathologists of our labs.
• Conceptualized and established process of gathering lab data, imaging data and digital pathology data to cloud to build a 360 degree view of patients in a longitudinal timeline.
• Established blueprint for cloud based genomic pipeline processing for analyzing geneomic sequencing data thats generated from Illumina Novaseq and Nextseq machines for whole genome sequencing and targeted panel sequencing.
• I also lead the country's most advanced Molecular Diagnostics and Research Labs.
