I've spent twenty years designing financial platforms where the fundamental challenge remains constant. People need to trust a screen with their money, their retirement, their family's financial future. Everything I've built works backward from that requirement. I lead AI /UX transformation for financial services at Capgemini across banking and wealth management, designing AI-powered platforms for institutions including Vanguard, Bank of America, Capital One, and Markel Insurance. The regulated, high-stakes kind where compliance frameworks aren't suggestions and a single poorly designed interaction can erode years of institutional trust. The work has shifted. I've moved from static interfaces to Agentic AI systems that act on behalf of users rather than simply responding to them. My SAFIRE Framework provides the sequential approach financial institutions need to onboard AI safely, addressing governance gaps, trust architecture, and operational readiness challenges that most implementations overlook. I also shoot medium-format film. 6x6 or 6x7 only. No cropping. In photography and in product design, the constraints aren't limitations. They're what force precision.
