• tl;dr: Delivered several key engineering systems at Chime that transformed the architecture and engineering practices of their team of 400+ engineers. Three patents granted for this work (lead inventor in two).
• Designed and delivered Chime's pub/sub system. It serves as the backbone for all asynchronous inter-service communication at the application layer, powering 740MM messages/day!
• Designed and delivered the first generation of Chime's streaming platform. Today, it powers 1100+ data pipelines to meet our derived data needs for everything from back office processing to financial reporting to data backfill needs.
• Spearheaded the rollout of Protocol Buffers to all of Chime engineering. Monetary savings from schematization is $1-5MM! Actively provided consultations to teams across the board on how to effectively design their schemas and APIs.
• Spearheaded the rollout of Twirp, a synchronous RPC framework, in Ruby to all of Chime engineering.
• Evaluated and proposed solutions for a highly available architecture in multiple AWS regions.
• Actively sought out for advice on software design and architecture of projects across engineering orgs within Chime.
• Took a keen interest in mentoring senior engineers to help them get to Staff+ levels.
• Led the development of Chime's internal developer portal.
• D&I work: Served on the small committee of volunteers to design Chime's pilot program to sponsor historically underrepresented people for promotions to the Staff Software Engineer position. The pilot ran successfully for six months and was recommended for renewal to the EC.

• Designed and delivered CK's notifications platform. This platform powered daily emails and push notifications to CK's 100 MM+ members in the United States alone and more globally. These notifications were the major driver of member engagement and revenue for the company.

• Develop a suite of micro-services that gathered location data from mobile clients.
