I don't do comfortable. Never have. Two years ago I left a VP role to build an AI product for India. Not a side project - I went all in. Surveyed 900+ people on the ground before zeroing on problem and writing code. Built the product myself - on-device neural network, generative AI workflows, agentic decision flows, MCP integrations. Shipped on Android and iOS. Pitched to 126 investors. Got into IIT Madras incubation. Became a Perplexity AI fellow. Patent published. The product hit a structural platform wall. Two years of work and I killed it when the data said so. Before this : 16 years across telecom and enterprise tech at Infosys, Sterlite, Mavenir and Comviva. Built new product lines from scratch and took them to market. Opened new geographies. Closed multi-year global accounts. Led large cross-functional teams across product, engineering, business development and delivery. Each cycle - whether it worked or didn't - sharpened how I evaluate bets, build teams and decide what to kill early. I know what it takes to build inside a company with real scale - and I know what's different about building without it. What changed in the last two years : I stopped being someone who builds inside structure and became someone who builds the structure. From writing code to doing user research to pitching investors to making the hardest call a founder makes - I operated across every layer of company-building. That range doesn't go away. I work best when the problem is clear but the playbook hasn't been written. When you need someone who'll challenge the thesis, get challenged back, stay curious, operate on low ego, do the actual work and tell you what's not working before it gets expensive. I don't need a blueprint. I need a problem.
