Tanmay Jaiswal — Machine Learning Engineer
I am passionate about mathematics, programming, human-technology interaction, and teaching. Mathematics and Programming challenge me to think in new ways. Solving a tricky problem is exhilarating and gratifying. Interacting with technology has a learning curve associated with it and some interactions are not user-friendly. According to me, a major reason for this is that our technology has a limited context of the world around it. To bridge this gap, I explore how we can provide better context to the devices we interact with. Teaching is a highly rewarding experience. It lets me share my excitement for a subject while helping people grow. Delving into concepts with students helps me rediscover incredible ideas that I sometimes take for granted. Today, I work at Soroco. I use mathematics, programming, and deep learning to help computers understand semi-structured documents. I help computers understand images and text from the world we live in so that they can help us do our jobs better. I find ways to provide context to computers so that they can make smarter decisions and abstract complexity away from humans. In my free time, I teach Machine Learning at RV College of Engineering and provide guidance on projects.
