  • My work was based on:
  • Problem: Since PTX assembly document is in pdf format and it'll take months of engineer work to make a list of possible valid variants for all the instructions and checking whether the instruction exists in the available test suites. The Problem becomes more complicated when the test suites added on daily basis.
  • Solution:
  • 1. I have automated this task using LLVM's component TableGen.
  • 2. Defined the constraints and properties of each instruction. These constraints and properties are processed using C++ backend and results in XML files of each instruction with valid possible variants.
  • 3. To find the coverage of each instruction from the ptx testsuites, I wrote some python scripts which are counting the occurrences of each valid variant from the test suites and representing them in an excelsheet.
