I am passionate about teaching and training with core areas of specialisation being Financial Management and Business Simulation. With this endeavour in mind I've founded Yogesh Bhawnani Consulting (YBC) born out of the need to provide training programs and workshops to help students and professionals supplement their academic learning with skills that are relevant to the industry.

  • Conducted a 3 day training program as a co-faciltator with Prof. Dr. Philip K.Y. Young from December 2 - 4, 2014 for Google Inc. The program had 144 participants from Google offices all over the world and encompassed three days of sessions accompanied with a business simulation.
  • Conducted a 3 day Advanced Management Program for Cornell University at Colombo as a co-faciltator with Prof. Dr. Philip K.Y. Young from September 17 -19, 2014. The program enjoyed participation from 35 candidates from 9 reputed corporations in Sri Lanka.
  • Assisted Prof. Dr. Philip K.Y. Young in conducting the 3-day Micro MBA program, which included business simulation for a corporate audience of 60 participants across 22 companies in India from September 6 - 8, 2012.
  • Also, assisted Prof. (Dr.) Philip K.Y. Young for a 2-day corporate education workshop on Business Acumen through Simulation for an audience from Nivea India in February 2013.

  • 5. Global Industry Classification Standards (GICS) Review: reviewing the industry classification of companies jointly with S&P in order to help maintain the product.
  • In addition to the above I was also responsible for the work of five analysts in terms of training, quality control and review of their work.
  • My responsibilities also included collaborating and working with colleagues in Index Research and Corporate Events on a regular basis especially during Quarterly and Semi-Annual Index Reviews as part of the core team responsible for the rebalance process.
