I was an early engineer at Barq, where I built a product from scratch and now lead the Onboarding team of five engineers. I’ve been part of the company’s journey from 0 to 3 million users and know what it takes to build products from the ground up. Before this, I worked as a software engineer at startups across different stages and also tried starting up on my own. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active - whether it’s hiking, playing badminton, or going for a run. I also love discovering new music and exploring topics around finance and geopolitics.

Built and launched the product from the ground up, currently handling $400M+ in monthly transaction volume
Designed and implemented the vendor integration layer (first of its kind in KSA), reducing new vendor integration time from 6 months to under 1 month (currently supports 4 vendors).
Built a dynamic pricing engine to route transfers based on corridor availability, exchange rates, fees, and delivery time.
Integrated with core internal systems, including wallet, communications (OTP/IVR), and onboarding to enable a seamless payment flow

In an attempt to start up, tried several ideas across different domains (2 ideas in B2C and 1 in B2B). Was fun, learnt a lot!
LINQ (Fintech) - Tech to facilitate BNPL payments through QR codes in offline stores. Built a pitch deck, applied to YC, got rejected, left the idea.
FROOT (Health & Wellness) - Health social commerce platform. Talked to ∼50 dermatologists, nutritionists, and D2C brands to bunch their products & services in a health package. Prepared an MVP and a pitch deck, but left the idea due to lack of Founder Market Fit.
B2B SaaS: Studied use cases & product specifics of market leaders and new players in multiple domains. Finally landed upon building an interactive email automation tool for D2C brands to increase CTRs, but gave up on the idea due to lack of FMF. Domains explored during this time:
