Lloyd brings more than a decade of experience spanning cybersecurity, leadership, and IT to his role as Vice President of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) at Aquia. Lloyd is a U.S. Air Force veteran and has supported federal agencies including the U.S. Navy, Department of Defense (DoD), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). During his career, Lloyd has built a highly successful engineering-based GRC and application security program from the ground up for a leading federal platform as a service (PaaS). He's established cloud security and vulnerability management programs as well as led security automation efforts for highly regulated industries. Lloyd also architected security processes for the toolchain program at the U.S. Air Force's Kessel Run software factory. He currently leads the Continuous Authority to Operate program automating authorization and assessment capabilities for a forward leaning federal agency. Lloyd holds multiple certifications including the CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+), AWS Security Specialty, AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect Associate, and Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA). Lloyd studied Aerospace Engineering at both the United States Air Force Academy and Arizona State University. With an entrepreneurial spirit, Lloyd builds scalable business processes and hiring practices as he grows the GRC practice for Aquia. In his free time, Lloyd enjoys training for and competing in Ironman Triathlons out of Austin, TX.
