Mobile app development geek turned entrepreneur. After spending a decade building mobile apps and scaling UrbanCompany from 1M to 10M users, I realized something simple: building and maintaining a high-quality, high-scale, high-performance mobile app is hard. With long development cycles, platform parity issues, the need to release on the Play Store and App Store repeatedly, and waiting weeks for all users to download the new release, all while incorporating product requests for experiments and user personalization, it became increasingly challenging as UrbanCompany scaled. Together with my partners in crime, Vivek and Tushar, we felt this on a daily basis. We started Digia to change this. Our mission is to make building large-scale mobile apps simple, not simpler, for growth-stage companies.
