I am Ananya!! Currently studying Management Information Systems as a Master's student at Texas A&M. I hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, following which I have interned at Arista Networks and worked with Barclays for over 2 years as a Software Engineer. At Barclays, I worked in the Financial Assistance and Collections domain on large, business-critical systems used by internal teams to support customers. My role involved working across end-to-end journeys from backend APIs to databases, supporting major platform migrations, building automation, and making sure data flowed correctly across systems, across products such as loans, mortgages, and credit cards. I worked closely with engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders, which helped me understand how real products are built, shipped, and improved at scale. Over time, I became more interested in product thinking, understanding users, trade-offs, and how technical decisions affect business outcomes. That’s what led me to pursue my Master’s and focus on AI and product management. At Texas A&M, I’m studying a mix of technical and business courses that help me connect information systems to business needs. I’m learning how to design and evaluate AI-driven products through coursework, hands-on projects, and machine learning studies. I enjoy working on problems that sit between technology and business, and I’m especially interested in roles where AI is used thoughtfully to build useful, real-world products. Outside of studies, I serve as a Teaching Assistant for BUSN 403 (Business Writing and Communication) at Mays Business School. I assist professors with content generation, preparing for lectures, brainstorming ideas, and planning activities to enhance class engagement. I mentor students with weekly office hours on technical and business writing, and also grade their assignments and tests. Personally, I am a very calm and patient individual who lives by the self-written quote - "So many people don't have what you have, so work hard and make it count."
