• Retail Pulse developed the world's first computer vision technology to profile Kirana stores using just a few mobile phone images. This groundbreaking solution solved a critical challenge for FMCG companies: gaining visibility into the traditionally opaque Kirana market.
• Our AI accurately detected over 16,000 SKUs, even in the cluttered environment of a Kirana store. This granular level of detail enabled FMCG brands to understand exactly what was happening at the point of sale, including product placement, competitor activity, and sales trends.
• We moved the conversation from "Jo Dikhta Hai, Woh Bikta Hai" to "Kya Dikhta Hai and Kya Bikta Hai"
• Retail Pulse secured multi-year contracts with leading FMCG companies like Unilever, PepsiCo Beverages, PepsiCo Snacks, and L'oreal. Our solution analyzed over 10 million store visits, providing invaluable insights into consumer behaviour and market dynamics.

• Built and lead the AI function at Impact Analytics. Responsible for product planning and building the core products in the Retail and FMCG domain.
• Shipped multiple large scale AI products for world's largest Retailers and FMCG companies. Also setup the R&D division to research on the new developments in Machine Learning and Operations Research.

• Designing and implementing machine learning solutions for the world's leading retail and Consumer Goods companies across the domains of computer vision and natural language processing.
• Helped my organization win the P&G Global AI Startup Challenge which saw participation from over 200 startups across the world.
• Developed a BI tool from scratch that answers user queries by showing structured insights. The AI-driven engine converts text queries into SQL queries in real-time. The tool is being used by multiple clients, also supervised end to end product development.

• Have you ever wondered why so many restaurants, even after having good food and a nice ambiance, have few or no guests? Being foodies and always curious to check out new restaurants, we came across many places that were empty or got shut down within a year.
• We started Grill to provide data-driven insights with a razor-sharp focus on improving the bottom line and efficiencies of restaurants. We optimized the food costs and recommended the right menu items & their prices.
• We worked with over 10 restaurants in BLR and increased revenue for some of them by 3X.
• But the idea was always to create something that's digital and scales. Indian restaurants wanted consultants over software. So we discontinued.
• Major Learnings:
• 1. Should have tried building the software for the west.
• 2. Restaurant business is very hard. If your retirement plan is to open a restaurant, think again. :)
