Architected the backend for a chat-type experience for transactions, which also lets users send text messages, used DynamoDB for storage, built the service using Golang, used Kafka for listening to transactions and their updates, and Valkey for caching the changes in the conversation list to avoid regular writes on DynamoDB on every message; these writes were then transferred to DynamoDB by a background job using AsynQ.
