• The first software engineer to be hired after creation of the Azure Networking team in IDC. Helped create the team from scratch and helped develop the SDN charter at IDC. Led the SDN (Software Defined Networking) Deployment and Cloud convergence team. Led the effort building solutions for the convergence of 1st party and 3rd party clouds. It consisted of innovation in monitoring solutions for large scale deployments, optimizations in build out (i.e creation of new clusters / data centers) deployment procedures to support fast optimized SDN host agents.

• Owned and led development of the the extension framework in the OSS - Open Source Software mgmt - service. This ships as part of the Visual Studio Team Services service. The extension framework enables seamless integration of 1st party as well as 3rd party (like Palamida Inc, the official legal partner of MS of OSS) services as extensions into the OSS service.

• Windows Server Network Controller (NC) Framework:
• Contributed to the uber architecture of the Network Controller framework which shipped later in Windows 2016.
• Designed and developed the Device Manager functionality in the framework which is the south bound integration layer of the framework to interact with hosts / network devices.
• Designed and developed the Address Space Manager (ASM) module of the framework which manages IP address spaces and is used by multiple other modules of NC like VNet, NetMon and Topology modules.

• Windows DHCP Server:
• Designed and developed the Policy Based IP/options Assigment feature, minus the UI, in the DHCP Service which shipped as part of Windows Server 2012. It was a major functionality add and has become a very popular functionality since then and used by a large number of customers using the Windows DHCP server.
• Designed and developed several other DHCP features along with my team, one of which - Recording stateless V6 addresses in DHCP server - has an accepted patent.
• Windows DHCP Client:
• Implemented the Always On Always Connected feature in DHCP client which optimized power consumption on the devices to a great extent by optimizing IP address acquisition scenarios in the DHCP client.
• Windows IPAM Server:
• Added a bunch of backend and UI features to the IPAM server including multiple DHCP functionalities like PBA, superscopes, etc.
