RST (Regulatory Submission Toolkit) layer acts as a unification layer for transaction information coming from various sources along with the reference data (mapping Citi specific dimensions to federal requirements) uploaded by the users to produce submission worthy data. The tool also helps business users and consolidators validate their data using multiple reports and edit checks (federal data quality checks).
The reports are generated using Java, Talend, Jasper, Cognos and Ab-Initio.
RST imposed a clear workflow for data flowing through each step from base data loads to adjustments, attestation submission to consolidator and submission to feds. The tool provide the facility for online and offline adjustments. Online adjustments allow the users to select data using conditions selected at run time (works like SQL). Offline adjustments allow users to work on an excel sheet downloaded from the tool. Users can upload the adjusted data to perform bulk adjustments over multiple rows in a single pass. RST performs near real time data validations (syntax and semantics) using upload errors and edit checks. The edit checks process runs with batch execution and with each upload.
