About

Thank you for being here and checking out my profile. If you're looking for my resume, the rest of the profile might do a fair job. An entrepreneur by nature. Finding my way through this complex life. Let me share my journey and if you like it, let's have a chat? Jack of many trades, trying to be master of some. Class 8: Eloped from home ( for 3 hrs ), was hungry, so started to teach taught cricket to young kids in the nearby ground for 1 hr, and got my food cost from them. My first negotiation and payment. Class 12: Sold CSE projects to fellow students, lowered the supply to raise the price per project. Made 10k in 1 week in 2015 ( big money for school kiddo ) ( My pocket money was INR 150 per month ) Prepared for IIT, but was not able to crack. During my college years, I did a lot of things. Worked as a faculty member in 2 different coachings ( mentioned in profile ) After that started my 1st startup: Connect My Edu with 0 knowledge about startups ( 2016 end ) We made it profitable in 3-4 months and got 2 fundraising offers for the same too. Worked in it for 18 months and finally shut it down. Worked with many college startups during the time, learned a few things, made some money too. 2019: Got my first mentor and worked with him for 8 months. 2020: Graduated college amidst covid 19 Picked up a few skills like market research, risk analysis, negotiations, B2B relationship management, etc. So I have seen the life of Bootstrapping at 0 budget, fought a lot of challenges in my personal life, tried to do my best. I am still improving and evolving in many aspects. Meanwhile, I got to share my journey and story from more than 50+ colleges, TEDx, and other platforms. I have surely been criticized a lot, for many things, but I am still learning my lessons and progress. An avid solo backpack traveler and I also love to explore nature. My dream? To open up an orphanage and mentor the ones who have no one. Also, I want to demote fake entrepreneurs who are creating fakeness in the ecosystem. So you have read this much ? Lets connect ?

  • I joined here as Business Developer. Later on, I was also promoted as co-founder.
  • Works I did :
  • 1. Preparing the technical framework required
  • 2. Making a team of people to work on that
  • 3. Working on SOS medicine delivery services
  • 4. Building a financial model around 60 min delivery of medicine
  • 5. Connecting with doctors and do other things necessary
  • As a co-founder, I was given 15% equity vested over 3 years.
  • Revenues :
  • FY 18-19 : 3.8 cr
  • FY 19-20 : 4.5 cr
  • I left the startup for the following reasons :
  • 1. Paperwork and Legal work was not done at the time
  • 2. The business model was working up on LOC, and so a lot of changes were required, and they were not ready to do the same.
  • 3. Again when things came down at budgeting, the company was not ready to spend anything.
  • So my personal learning was great there, but I was not able to execute a lot of things as the budget was not being given for anything and further lockdown started from March 2021. So as I was not able to move and do tie-ups with the doctors.
  • I left the startup, and gave up the equity part too, upon the advice of 2-3 different mentors.
  • It was a good learning experience but only if they would have been more flexible in their approach we could have done much better.

  • Startup Monk is a community platform bringing the stakeholders of the Indian Startup Ecosystem together. We envision to forge a more comprehensible, easily penetrable and additionally, an embracing entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Furthermore, we aim to expand the current ecosystem, which is currently focused more in and around metros, to tier 2 and tier 3 cities, smaller towns and villages. India has no dearth of dreamers, thinkers, innovators, and inventors.
  • If provided the equitable opportunities, adequate resources, and the ideal environment, entrepreneurs from even these non-metros have the potential to build startups and companies that can compete and impact not just at home, but at a global level too.
  • I worked under Shivesh sir, founder of the startup and learnt a lot. As the team was very small and we were still deciding on the services to be pushed to the market. I worked in a lot of things, connecting colleges, hosting events, getting guests, raising sponsorships, trying to start an e-commerce store too, and tried to set up an incubator too.
  • It was a great experience working under a mentor and I learnt a lot of things here.

  • But instead of working on Software Development and coding, I got involved with the Product Development guys. And then i worked on product development. I worked to understand the value of UI and UX and some basic practices to be followed. I got introduced to tools like Balsemic , Figma and Marvel for wireframing and prototyping.

Business Development Intern

Jan 2019Mar 2019 · 2 mos · New Delhi Area, India

  • During my time with my own startup and IEEE, I had developed an extensive network in colleges across Delhi NCR. So I started my Internship as a Business Developer, and my responsibility was to conduct events and get them traction from colleges.
  • During my period, I did, 5 events with them. We gained some traction but it was not much effective as students were having their exams in colleges so the participation was quite low. Also as it was an unpaid internship, and I was the only intern, there were high expectations from me, and I was not able to generate such a crowd in events. As there were no campaigns or digital activities by them, so everything had to be done offline.
  • And I was alone responsible for the following :
  • 1. Connecting with college
  • 2. Connecting with different societies
  • 3. Fixing meetings and deciding the date
  • 4. Getting permission from college for use of auditorium in some cases
  • 5. Looking after promotions in that college
  • 6. Registration
  • And I had no prior experience in conducting events, so I was not too efficient at that time. But I was able to pull off some events.

Pro Bono : Business Development

Oct 2018Mar 2019 · 5 mos · New Delhi Area, India

  • Domain: Hyper-Local Social Media bringing shops and people in the near vicinity in touch with each other
  • Tripy World was started by some college friends in 3rd year of college and some seniors also. As I was into startups, they asked me to help them with Bussiness Development, building financial model and help them raise funding.
  • I worked with them for some months, we got the app launched and we got 1000+ downloads in a week too in Beta testing. The startup was bootstrapped. We connected with more than 100 shops in Delhi, particularly in the Rohini region.
  • We got incubation support too. But we were not able to raise funds. So we had to eventually shut it down as we could have earned good revenues only when the volume would have been large and for that, we needed to raise funding.
  • Again we were all college students, so we were unaware of many things that I am now. But it was a great experience connecting with the shop owners, listening to them, and bringing them onboard. Also, we had wasted a lot of financial resources in the early days.

Readerscrib

Sales And Marketing Intern

  • Domain: Stationery, especially books renting for college students
  • ReadersCrib is an e-commerce marketplace for renting books. It allows users to rent books from their nearest stores. It makes sure that books get delivered within 3 hours at the doorstep. Customers have the liberty to select from a wide variety of books ranging from novels to college books.
  • Started by students of NSUT in 3rd of engineering, the startup was registered under Startup India and also got funds from NSIT-TBI.
  • My work was mainly concerned with tying up with college communities in Delhi-NCR. I was just starting up in Marketing and to increase sales. Further, I had to develop awareness about the startup in the colleges and also to create and engage with the community over there.
  • The startup was operational for 2-3 years. After passing out from the college the founders got good jobs and the startup was left in shambles and eventually they shut it down.
  • Guess this was my 1st internship ever. Learnt a bit, but looking back at it in 2021 now, I feel I could have done much more and learnt much more.

  • ALL INDIA RANK 3...
  • So I had the initial idea of developing this algorithm to predict the risk factor of Dengue by using the location of a person from his phone.
  • So our team of 8 people then started with the initial idea and submitted a basic plan on how to build it. Well, there were a lot of hiccups. The results due in November were announced in February.
  • I worked on developing the logic for the coding to be done and later I implemented Machine Learning algorithms to make the accuracy better.
  • It was fun doing the project and I learnt a lot about selecting the parameters and thinking of the boundary conditions.

  • Revenue Made : 500 * 104 = INR 52,000 i.e. 52k
  • A single guy was able to do this revenue in his own college, so you see side hustle in college makes a lot of money.
  • 25 hours devoted to this session max , 52k made. Putting me at approx 2000 per hour. And trust me, if I can do it, then anyone can easily.
  • Lesser students are in the photo than the real class.
