Nihal Kaul — Software Engineer
I’m a builder at heart, driven by a fascination for how ideas become systems and how systems scale. Over the past couple of years, I’ve had the opportunity to build software from the ground up inside fast moving startups. I’ve been deep in the trenches writing production code, architecting cloud infrastructure, debugging distributed systems, and helping teams move from uncertainty to product-market fit. I enjoy taking blurry product visions and turning them into well architected, scalable systems, ones that not only work today but make room for what’s next. Along the way, I developed a deep appreciation for cloud-native development and the flexibility it provides to move fast without compromising on security, reliability, or cost efficiency. I’m drawn to the creative problem solving that comes with designing for scale whether it’s optimizing deployment pipelines, simplifying distributed architectures, or building out observability in a growing system. In recent years, my focus has evolved towards AI systems design helping businesses achieve operational efficiency across sales, marketing, and customer support through intelligent automation. I’m particularly interested in the memory layer for AI, and how persistent, context aware systems can make software more adaptive, human, and useful. Beyond engineering, I’m deeply interested in research and writing, especially at the intersection of AI, system design, cloud and human-centered computing. I’ve been exploring how advances in large language models, agent memory, and adaptive context frameworks are shaping the next generation of intelligent applications. I actively contribute as a peer reviewer and technical writer, and I’m passionate about bridging the gap between academic insight and practical implementation. What excites me now is the opportunity to help other builders, founders, and early engineering teams make smart architectural decisions early and turn their ideas into resilient, AI powered, cloud-native products. I believe great technical architecture is not just about the stack, it’s about clarity, alignment, and speed. That’s the energy I bring to every team I’m part of.
