Project Description:
The Royal Mail Group (RMG) is a letters, packages and parcels business covering the whole of the UK, with access to partners world-wide.
In RMG Offshore Java Apps Team, there are applications namely Door to Door, Tracking Enquiry System, RMS, RDM, EPOD, BMAC etc. Java Application team supports these applications from offshore and onshore as well.
Contribution:
Responsible for some of the critical applications like EPOD, BMAC, Door to Door, Tracking Enquiry System, RMS, RDM in Java Team using Struts 1.3.5 framework.
BMAC application’s upgrade from Netbeans 5.0 to 6.1 on Websphere 7.
Responsible for completion of proposed tasks/projects/bug fixes, development and enhancement of the applications within the timeline given.
5 Enhancements of the applications Door to Door and Tracking Enquiry and analysis work for Problem Record for D2D.
Handling the Service Request raised by the customers (Royal Mail employees) on daily basis.
Contribution in handling the production issues as well as oncall (24X7) support for Tracking Enquiry.
Knowledge Transfer sessions for the new joiners as well as resolving their day-to-day issues.
Direct interaction with the clients (RMG) as well as onshore team members.
