Conceptualized, designed and implemented a tool to predict drilling lost returns and its mitigation strategies using a fully coupled poromechanics-fluid model. I was development lead for the software and worked with members from three different research groups and a field drilling technical group. I also drafted a field deployment strategy to allow immediate use of the software in production.
I also designed a methodology for characterization and prediction of leakoff and fracturing flow profiles (flow split) for multi-lateral wells connecting several reservoirs.
