Product Matching: Testing and benchmarking various multimodal deep learning models for the purpose of Apparel product matching across multiple e-commerce websites.
Models: Used the ViLT and CLIP models in the Huggingface transformers library to perform baseline
experiments. Our finetuned CLIP model which utilises image and textual descriptions of a product showcased over 16% matching accuracy improvement on an average over only text or only image product matching systems.
Other Usage: The proposed multimodal product embeddings have the potential to be effectively used for competitive pricing, selection gap reduction and image search capabilities.

● Did feature engineering on the large-scale datasets using PySpark and AWS resources. The features were used to train a decision tree-based lightgbm model. My proposed solution was able to get 10% better Recall@Precison90 scores on an average as compared to the current productionized system.

Worked on a project titled "Mapping Disaster Risk from Aerial Imagery" under the guidance of Dr. Kuldeep Chaurasia, Assistant Professor at Bennett University. The goal of this project was to create a deep learning model to classify the roof material of identified buildings in St. Lucia, Guatemala, and Colombia, given their aerial drone imagery. Machine learning models that are able to most accurately map disaster risk from drone imagery will help drive faster, cheaper prioritization of building inspections and target resources for disaster preparation where they will have the most impact.
