• 1. Equipped Cloud Authentication team consisting of 150 engineers and PMs with tools, knowledge share, hypothesis frameworks, KPI framework, experimentation and analytics.
• 2. Created roadmaps, designs and execution plans for unifying Identity organization's fragmented product telemetry into a reliable, scalable and extensible analytics platform.
• 3. Onboarded Identity services to experimentation platform to run A|B experiments at scale, and delivered dashboards and tools for analytics, experimentations and hypothesis testing.
• 4. Influenced the team in the art of defining KPIs based on business outcomes, metrics evolution and experimentation. Provided a framework for PMs to priorities product features based on KPIs. Developed A|B testing strategy for Microsoft Account team.
• 5. Worked with marketing teams on user targeting strategies to drive engagement through increasing average number of Microsoft applications used per user.
• Identity Services - AAD (Enterprise Identity) and MSA (Consumer Identity):
• 1. Worked on SAML, LDAP, OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect protocols, rolled out features in AAD product for mainly authentication services. This includes SSO, Federation, and Sync features.
• 2. Kids account for MSA - Shipped feature updates for legal compliance requirements for COPPA in US, PIPA in Korea and GDPR in EU for Parental Consent regulations.
• 3. Identity protection - Worked on FABBS (Fraud, Abuse, Bad, Bot and Spam) user identification and minimizing its influence on user acquisition, engagement and retention scenarios.

• c. Successfully built self-sustainable online communities, training sales and support towards addressing ecosystem needs for Device Guard.
• 2. Security Operations for Microsoft UEFI CA
• a. Led projects building security tools for static and dynamic code analysis, pen testing and security automations that resulted in 80% reduction in the turnaround time with higher efficacy and efficiency.
• b. Consulted for over 100 UEFI firmware providers in guiding their Security Development Lifecycles (SDLs), security best practices, product designs and PKI management.
• c. Worked with Microsoft Security Response Center (MSRC) and defined security incidence response for UEFI Secure Boot. Led revocation efforts for over dozen of UEFI applications/drivers including Windows golden key leak, Heart-bleed vulnerabilities in UEFI etc.
• d. I presented in UEFI Conferences between 2013-2016 leading a strong collaboration between Microsoft and UEFI partner vendors.
• 3. Internet of Things (IoT):
• a. Defined security requirement and specifications for IoT solutions based on Windows IoT Core including device management, Firmware update, Cloud connectivity, device on-boarding, identity management, process and data access controls.

• a. I delivered Windows hardware and firmware certification automation tests and Windows upgrade readiness for core OS security features. This effort lead to Windows Analytics as a service offering for Windows enterprise customers.

• a. Worked on comprehensive set of strategic security features - AV Upgrade with OS Upgrade, User Protection Always ON (UPAO), OEM AV Pre-installs, Windows Security Center, Secure event logging, Offline Virus removal, ELAM and AM-PPL, AMSI, etc. for over 2 years to execute upon roadmap iteratively
• b. Collaborated with AV industry leaders (Windows Defender, McAfee, Symantec, and Kaspersky) led to significant impact in this area increasing user protection rate from 70% on Windows 7 to 98% on Windows 10.
• c. Presented Windows roadmap and strategy for supporting AV integration with windows in "Microsoft Security Response Alliance" Conferences in 2013-2016
• 2. Windows Defender ATP and Windows Auditing (for Intrusion Detection and Prevention):
• a. I worked on the early technology evolution of Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) where the concept of security at edge network, edge devices, cloud aggregation for provide networked intelligence for enterprise customers were explored. This lead to Windows Defender ATP offer to Microsoft enterprise customers that are largely in defending against zero-day attacks, and Windows Defender's AV test results.
• b. I worked on Windows Auditing infrastructure that powers high security conscious enterprise customers (such as Department of Defense, US Air Fore etc) that generates events for user activity, on prem aggregation and feeds into intrusion detection and prevention software.
• c. Collaborated with XBOX team lead to TruePlay which is an anti-cheating technology. This is the first Microsoft technology that provides developers with a new set of tools to combat cheating within their PC games.

• Designed user centric experience for reading on Windows - PDF reader, XPS reader, Notepad and Journal with main focus on roaming capabilities across Windows devices (Phone, Tablet and PC).
