Over the past 15 years, I have had the privilege of playing role in the e-commerce landscape of India, with significant contributions at both Flipkart and udaan. My journey began at Flipkart (2010), where I dedicated myself to developing a suite of innovative marketing products, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and affiliate marketing solutions. My tenure culminated in bootstrapping the Flipkart's Ads Product, focusing on product listing ads and various other performance ad formats. Transitioning to udaan as a founding team member, I embraced the opportunity to architect and develop foundational backend systems, including * Order Management Systems (OMS), * Automated seller payments, * catalog management system, * supply chain (warehousing, intra-city logistics, transportation), * and procurement products. My role at udaan has been multifaceted, allowing me to serve as a product lead, architect, and people manager. This experience enabled me to bootstrap numerous products from conception to launch, overseeing team development and actively contributing to product strategy and execution. Moreover, I played a critical role in establishing udaan's organisational framework, which involved strategic hiring (from fresh graduates to senior architects), defining the organisational structure, implementing best practices, and co-developing a competency framework.
