About

I am currently serving at the Human Spaceflight Centre (HSFC), ISRO, as part of the Gaganyaan programme, where I contribute to the Biomedical Engineering and Astronaut Training team. My work resides at the intersection of biomedical engineering, astronaut health monitoring, and immersive training technologies, with a focus on enhancing crew safety and performance both on the ground and in orbit. My key responsibilities and contributions include: - Wearable Health Monitoring System: Designing system architecture , defining requirements and developing a novel wearable health monitoring solution to support astronaut training on Earth and during in-orbit operations. - Biomedical Data Analysis: Leveraging deep learning models, particularly RNN architectures, to classify arrhythmia from ECG signals for astronaut health assessment. - Immersive Training & Simulation: Designing and developing a Unity-based testbed to evaluate crew intervention inside spacecraft, integrated within a VR environment to enhance astronaut training. Publication: Comparison of crew control mode for spacecraft docking operations https://dl.iafastro.directory/event/GLEX-2025/paper/93768/ - Bioinstrumentation & Equipment: Installing, calibrating, testing, and maintaining biomedical equipment to ensure reliable operation for astronaut training and medical readiness. - Laboratory Development: Establishing a Bioinstrumentation Lab facility to support engineers and researchers working on space biomedical systems. Through this journey, I continue to explore the frontiers of space biomedical engineering, astronaut health, and human–machine interaction, driven by the vision of enabling safe and sustainable human spaceflight.
