I am a Senior Software Engineer @ Uber Prior to Uber, I worked at Google for approx 2 years in Payments Platform Team. Worked on migrating code from tez(india) stack to payments platform stack to achieve the aim of unified payments at Google. Prior to Google, I worked at Microsoft for 5 years in Microsoft Azure Backup Team. I worked on Backup and Recovery Solutions for IaaSVMs(Infrastructure as a Service Virtual Machine). I was the owner of Data Transfer Microservice whose purpose was to take incremental backups and support quick restores. Data Transfer Microservice transfers nearly 10000 TeraBytes of data every day. I also worked on improving the scalability, reliability, resiliency, availability and efficiency of this service. In 2016, I graduated with B.Tech. Degree in Computer Science & Engineering(CSE) from IIT Guwahati.

Large Disk Backups/Restores for Microsoft Azure Backup
Designed and developed a scalable and performant library which modulates transfer of data from a large disk(>4TB) to azure storage. Worked on handling of failures cases/retry logic of a Large Disk. Focused on maintaining Idempotency of this library. Learnt Design Principles and how to integrate across services.
Worked as a lead member of the large disk design team and made significant contributions in the design of all major components of DiffCopy Service, viz. Bandwidth Divisor Changes, Retry Logic, Cancellation Flow, TrackStatus and Setting of Proper Errorcode by DiffTL
Backup Support for Network Ackled Virtual Machines
Ackled means storage account/blob SAS token would expire in certain amount of time in order to shorten the accessibility of a storage account/blob using a fixed blob uri.
Worked as a lead member of the Storage ACLs design team and made significant contributions in Design of the SAS refresh logic, refactoring of code, adding proper error codes for source/target blobs, testing rigorously in test environments and canaries.
Implementation of Protection Recovery Runners with AAD

Features involved support for Migration from BackupVault to RSvault, Refactoring of code and migration from WCFclient to RESTclient to support AAD token calls
