About

As an advocate with a passion for human rights and social justice, I have dedicated my career to empowering individuals and organizations through legal expertise and training. I serve as the founder of CherishRights Consortium, a think tank committed to fostering an environment that supports the rights and well-being of women and children. Additionally, I am a certified POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) trainer, equipping organizations with the tools and knowledge to create safe and inclusive workplaces. My legal practice spans various forums, including the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, District Courts, and specialized tribunals such as DRT/DRAT, NCLT/NCLAT, and consumer forums like NCDRC, SCDRC, and DCDRC. I have had the privilege of representing clients in complex legal matters, advocating for justice and fairness. I am honored to have received an award from the Former Chief Justice of India, Mr. Justice K.G. Balakrishnan, for my contributions to the legal field. Driven by a deep sense of responsibility and a commitment to justice, I continue to advocate for the rights of marginalized communities and work towards creating a more equitable society.

  • During the course of my work in the field of sexual harassment law and gender rights, I observed a concerning gap in the implementation of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. While the Act mandates regular awareness programs for employees and orientation sessions for Internal Committee members, in practice, many organizations fail to comply. In several instances, even HR professionals and Legal Heads lack clarity on the statutory provisions and the correct procedure for handling complaints under the Act.
  • In response to this gap, I have taken the initiative to conduct training and awareness sessions for Employers, HR representatives, Internal Committee members, and employees. These sessions focus not only on the legal framework of the POSH Act but also on broader themes of gender sensitisation and inclusivity, with the aim of fostering safe, equitable, and respectful workplaces for all, regardless of gender identity.
