👋 Hi! I’m Ayush Bhardwaj, an MLH Fellow, NLP Researcher, and Inventor with a deep passion for combining technology and open-source to solve real-world problems. 🔊 Currently, I’m working with Meta’s research team on the AudioSeal project, enhancing audio processing for better privacy and quality. My work in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and AI has driven my mission to bring meaningful, research-backed innovations to life. 🧑‍💻 I’m an active open-source contributor and have participated in Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 2019 & 2020 as a student, working on FOSSology, and continued as a GSoC Mentor to help aspiring developers contribute to open-source projects. 🦉 As the co-founder of HypnOS, I’ve led teams through 20+ hackathons, including NASA Space Apps 🚀 and Smart India Hackathon, developing solutions that tackle important social issues. Over 300 hours of work have gone into creating projects for causes that matter. 💡 As an inventor, I hold three patents: Drishti-Pay: A secure payment system for the visually impaired 💳. Rodasi: An AI-powered tool for calculating environmental greenery 🌱. E-ShramikCV: A digital identity platform for unorganized sector workers 🛠️. 🏢 Industry-wise, I have over 2.5 years of experience as a Software Performance Engineer at ZS Associates, where I specialized in data analysis, performance optimization, and working with ETL tools to build scalable solutions. 🎓 On the academic front, I’m pursuing a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano, where I’m deepening my expertise in machine learning, AI, and data science. I previously earned my B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering from Amity University, graduating as a Silver Medalist for my academic achievements. 🔬 My research focus is on advancing NLP and AI, which has led to publications and impactful contributions in areas such as intelligent license scanning (Atarashi) and metadata extraction (Nirjas). 👥 Mentorship and community-building play a huge role in my journey.
