Started Initially with 3 parallel tracks.
1. Automating majority of databases used in Dream11 and making it self serve . (Terraform , Ansible , Jenkins as Interface) , The common problem we faced initially was around versioning of terraform modules (we used mono repo for all modules). Introduced Citizen an open source terraform registry similar like terrafom registry which streamlines versioning of terraform modules.
2. Led the initiative of optimising lower environment cost along with fellow team members by containersing lower environments and running it on EKS.
3. Automated one of the complex problem (auto creation of data pipelines in lower environment) for setting up new developer environment , before this it used to take 3 days of effort for setting up developer environment while still having manual dependency on human in loop from Data Engineering Team to setup data pipelines, this was reduced to almost 1 hour.
Post this moved to full fledged ownership of containersing Dream11 for production scale.

1. Centralised Logging
2. Realtime Business KPI's Dashboard

10+ TB of data ingested daily ( without replication )
At peak 350000 events/sec are indexed
20+ Real time Business critical dashboards
300 searches/sec at peak on Kibana
Whole Architecture was IAC Controlled (Terraform , Packer , Ansible & Esrally for benchmarking) and was built on open source elasticsearch.

As Software Engineer in Devops Team , my first big project was to find alternative for AppDynamics. The project itself started as centralised log collection and quickly turned as backbone of Logging , Tracing & Log Correlation along with tracking Business KPI Metrics. This introduced me to design system for scale.
Designed complete ELK stack end to end (Started with initial releases of Elasticsearch 2.X and Kafka 0.8.X ) which managed ingestion of 500 GB+ logs per day.
To bring AppDynamics like feature forked and modified PHP logger library and integrated it in application to produce logs/events in structured JSON format.
Initially started with Elastalert but as per business requirement got it revamped with In House UI for managing/setting alerts on the top of Elasticsearch . Alerting included mail server integration as well as Mobile Alerts.
Wrote Kafka Logger Producer in PHP
Setup highly scalable Kafka Cluster to provide it as a service to different teams across
different projects
