Hello, my name is Misbah Ashraf. I’m currently building Jar (myjar.app) - a consumer financial product starting with savings and investments making it easier for younger individuals to start investing sooner in their lives with gold which has high cultural significance and familiarity with the asset class. Recently, I founded Marsplay, a community-led commerce platform for fashion and beauty, and scaled it to 1 Million plus active users before getting it acquired. I previously founded Cibola, a payment venture, after dropping out of college with my friends. I also led product and growth at startups like Pulse.qa (YC), Pursuit, Toymail (YC), Spangle among others. My thumb role of choosing people over ideas helped me to work with insanely talented teams across the globe. Working with multiple startups on Product and Growth led me to understand the need for growth from the very first day of a product launch. My time spent working with startups across three continents and growing a user base from 0 to 15 Million+ only added to my experience. My passion lies in building products that users find delightful, and this drive is perfectly complemented by my love for people, numbers, and winning. All my energy comes from bringing order to chaos, solving problems before they surface, and staying focused when it gets tough.
