Being from a middle-class family I learned various practical business skills while helping my father in the family business during my childhood. During my MBBS I discovered my keen interest in technology so I turned into a self-taught software programmer, within 1 year, at the age of 18 years I launched my first startup studytemple.com with 0.5 million users when I was about to finish my MBBS. I got a chance to understand the challenges faced in healthcare in rural areas while serving the Govt of Punjab as a Medical Officer for 7 years. During this tenure, I worked as an executive senior medical officer and nodal officer for various national health programs like the national immunization program, Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram, etc. During my tenure, I realized that medicine cost is a major barrier in healthcare delivery, to resolve this issue I founded genericpedia.com to create awareness about generic drugs. In past years, I have served as chief technology officer ( CTO ) for various eCommerce companies in the USA, and Europe and helped in the automation of various business processes and getting useful insight into data to help in making business decisions. Currently working on digitalizing Kirana and Pharmacy stores in India, helping them with the art of data science and machine learning to help in improving their business process from procurement to sale. Besides this, I am helping society as a family physician.
