• Implemented server and client application for IPOP (open-source user-centric software virtual network) which only supported a CLI. Some of the features added include visualization of the VPN, centralized monitoring, managing multiple VPNs simultaneously, remotely controlling participant nodes (starting/ stopping/ reassigning IP), ganglia integration, integration with ejabberd server, secure mode of communication (via RSA) between server and client. The work done improved ease of use of IPOP significantly.

• Extend LyX (Open Source LaTex Editor) with interactivity capabilities allowing multiple users to work concurrently on the same document. This project involved handling complex scenarios such as when the network is laggy by versioning each state of document and targeting every change to a specific version.
