• I lead the quality engineering efforts for Cloudera Data Warehouse product, overseeing different aspects of functional testing, automation, and release certification. My role includes driving quality initiatives across teams, ensuring that our product meets the highest standards.
• I take the lead in analysing customer reported issues, identifying critical coverage gaps, and implementing solutions to enhance testing efficiency and product quality.
• In addition to traditional quality engineering practices, I am actively involved in pioneering innovative approaches, including leveraging Generative AI into our testing processes. One of the significant innovations I am spearheading is the Test Plan Generation Tool, which leverages RAG techniques. This tool enhances test planning by automatically generating comprehensive and dynamic test plans based on product requirement documents and feature design specifications.
• Additionally, I led the development of a AI powered JIRA Summariser Tool, designed to automatically summarise customer-reported issues by analysing comments and discussions within JIRA. The tool generates concise and actionable summaries of issues, including root cause analysis and workarounds.
• As part of my leadership responsibilities, I mentor team members, guide strategic testing efforts, and ensure continuous improvement across the testing lifecycle.

• I worked on a PoC to enable the use of shared HDFS and YARN between two Hadoop clusters running different versions of Hive. This involved designing and implementing a solution that ensured seamless data accessibility and processing across clusters, despite the version differences in Hive.
• I spearheaded platform-independent testing for Apache Iceberg with Hive and Impala, ensuring seamless integration and high quality across different form factors.
• I mentored an intern in the development of a platform-independent SQL Test Execution Framework, guiding them through the design process and leading the project to successful implementation. The framework streamlines the SQL testing efforts across different SQL engines like Hive, Impala, Spark and Trino.
